The Hesaraghatta lake site is situated around 18 km from Bengaluru North West. This is a man made fresh water lake was constructed in the year of 1894 across the Arkavathy river. The lake is holding the need water supply of the city also an ideal place for boating as well as windsurfing.
Bannerghatta National Park
Bannerghatta National Park is located around 22 km away south of Bengaluru. The park was establishd in 1971 became the richest zoological park among the country. Shivaganga, a excellent place of excursion between natural habitat which is about 56 km from Bengaluru and popularly known as Dakshin Kashi. It is a conical hill which offers a breathtaking view from the top. On the top of the hill there are two famous shrines dedicated to Lord Gangadeshwara and Goddess Honnadevi. There is also a fresh water spring called Pathala Ganga flowing nearby the hillock. KSRTC buses are available from Tumkur and Bengaluru. Regular bus services are available from Tumkur which is just 20 kms from Bengaluru.
Gandhi Bhawan under “Gandhi smarak Nidhi” of Bengaluru is located on the Kumara Krupa Road, dedicated to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
