Nrityagram

Nrityagram is a cultural village for reviving various Indian classical dance forms. The place is situated around 30 km from Bengaluru and was founded by famous Odissi dancer late Protima Gauriodissi to promote the various art forms of dances of India.

This unique cultural village offers aspiring dancers a chance to study and train in all disciplines of traditional Indian Dances, Choreography, mythology, music, philosophy and painting.

It hosts the annual musical fest 'Vasant Habba' where artists from all over India showcase their talents in an all-night programme.

Hesaraghatta

The Hesaraghatta lake site is situated around 18 km from Bengaluru North West. This is a man made fresh water lake was constructed in the year of 1894 across the Arkavathy river.

The lake is holding the need water supply of the city also an ideal place for boating as well as windsurfing.

Bannerghatta National Park

Bannerghatta National Park is located around 22 km away south of Bengaluru. The park was establishd in 1971 became the richest zoological park among the country. The park is a dwelling place for lions, white tigers and other mammals like elephants, bison.

The park situated in picturesque surrounding has a wide variety of flora and fauna. Among other attractions are crocodiles, picnic corner, serpentarium and pet’s corner.
Shivaganga

Shivaganga, a excellent place of excursion between natural habitat which is about 56 km from Bengaluru and popularly known as Dakshin Kashi.

It is a conical hill which offers a breathtaking view from the top. On the top of the hill there are two famous shrines dedicated to Lord Gangadeshwara and Goddess Honnadevi.

There is also a fresh water spring called Pathala Ganga flowing nearby the hillock. KSRTC buses are available from Tumkur and Bengaluru. Regular bus services are available from Tumkur which is just 20 kms from Bengaluru.

Gandhi Bhavan

Gandhi Bhawan under “Gandhi smarak Nidhi” of Bengaluru is located on the Kumara Krupa Road, dedicated to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The bhawan was founded to propagate the ideas and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
